There is a tradition at my school that takes place every spring when summer break is about to commence. This tradition has been held every year since the school opened (eight or nine years ago). The title of this ritual is called Wacky Week. Hilarious, is it not? Basically the whole idea of Wacky Week is to dress up as something completely out of the normality of what you would wear to school on a regular basis. There is a specific theme for each day of Wacky Week, such as Crazy Hair Day or Cartoon Character Day. Everyone is encouraged to participate by dressing up according to each theme.
This photograph is of me clothed to appear as if I am from Asian culture. Though, of course I skewed to outfit a bit to suit my personal tastes (an example would be the large boots.) This was for Geography Day, which is the day where you design and wear an outfit that signifies a different culture in another country. I selected Asian culture, because I am quite an enthusiast of it. I titled this Life in Technicolor II to go along with the subject matter of my previous deviation and to comply with the song Life in Technicolor II by the Alternative Rock band Coldplay. Yes, Coldplay revised the instrumental Life in Technicolor. The band added lyrics and rearranged/blended the melody of the original instrumental. It sounds absolutely stunning! Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
I wish this type of event happened at my school. X3
