ello my fellow deviants,
Twilight is just barely settling above the dazzling, snow-covered mountains. It is quite a beautiful sight from my bedroom window. In addition the gentle orange luminosity that descends from my windowpane makes it all the more marvelous. The bitter winter air lingers in my room, giving me a refreshing increase of liveliness. It is wholly silent, except for the distant echo of rushing cars from the highway.
I think to myself “Another day has left me; the last day of 2008.”

The thought brings me a heavy and almost uncomfortable sigh. This year has past so suddenly, though I cannot consider anything else that I would enjoy if I had additional time of this year. I have exceeded beyond my expectations in school academics and art techniques this year. However my mental well-being is still recovering from some of the foremost wounds it has acquired this year. It is manageable nonetheless; I suffer with the same situation at the conclusion of every year.

Back to my academics…
I have obtained four direct A’s, since I am a maniacal, obsessive perfectionist. It is fortunate I did not come down with a case of ‘Shingles’-a stress related sickness- as I did the previous school year. My main focus this year was to actually be more relaxed, I somewhat did achieve that goal… Well, in a way.

I have exceptionally improved with my art since 2007 of which was my main goal in 2008. I have successfully developed my own unique style; I was getting rather bored with the imitation drawings of Gorillaz and Death Note I had been creating. I believe that an artist should be open to many varieties of techniques and concepts. I also assume that having a large knowledge of techniques and concepts helps an artist achieve advanced goals more easily.

My New Years Resolution is to become more advanced with the structural foundation of my artwork and gain as much knowledge as I can from the school academics. I wish to be a successful artist in the future, so I need all the knowledge I can obtain.

You guys have been wonderfully supportive of me this year! You have my sincere gratitude for all the comments and favorites you have given me. I couldn’t survive without you deviants.
